Photo Tourism

While vacationing many tourists find themselves fumbling for their camera to snap a pic usually to record the memories of beautiful or historic sights. We have all have seen them and many of us have been them, a lost wander on a foreign street with an old camera hanging around your neck and a sun cap covering  your eyes. At times we can look foolish but at the same time we are capturing priceless moments in locations you don't find your self in everyday. Inspiration for the project came from the GHS photography/journalism students who took a trip to Italy, and recorded their endeavors with amazing photos. I was unable to go on the trip, so I decided to go on one of my own.

Opportunity to do so fell in front of me when my language class decided to go to the little Italy of Boston, the North End. My own little Italy, a perfect chance to practice photo journalism skills as my peers did on their trip to Italy. Obviously I won't be stumbling upon as many spectacular sights in North End compared to Italy, but I will have to make do with the culture, people, and sights I find along the way.
